Our Annual Women Raising Awareness Philanthropically Luncheon was created to help build positive networking opportunities while honoring the work of a woman for notable philanthropic contributions in her field and community.
Women are a powerful force in the world, often shaping our communities and changing the lives of those around them. The W.R.A.P. Luncheon brings together hundreds of successful, inspiring women from around the state to make a difference in the lives of children.

Our event includes a variety of area boutiques and artisans for shopping, a delicious seasonal menu and silent auction. Our event has grown steadily, this year anticipating over 350 business men and women for an afternoon of networking, inspiration and fun.
Both men and women are welcome at the luncheon. Phenomenal individuals join us each year to celebrate the achievements of women while networking with others who represent various professional experiences including entrepreneurs, nonprofit, business, government, entertainment and the arts.

Table Captains are the heart of W.R.A.P. and your support is essential to our success! The commitment as a Table Captain and hosting a table represents your dedication in supporting the Channel 3 Kids Camp. You may purchase an entire table (up to 10 per table) and invite guests to join you; or purchase your own ticket and invite friends to do the same and join you at your table.

Sponsorship involves creative brand placement, brings positive event association and provides key partnership with a proven successful event.
We are excited to welcome as this year's Keynote Speaker, Chris Dailey, University of Connecticut Women's Basketball Associate Head Coach. Dailey is currently in her 28th season at UConn and has been instrumental in teaming with head coach Geno Auriemma to build the program into an unquestioned national power. She is also the coordinator of Connecticut's highly successful recruiting efforts, spanning the nation and the globe.
In this, our 5th Annual W.R.A.P Luncheon, we are proud to honor Tina Charles. Tina is a 2010 graduate of the University of Connecticut, where she led the Women’s Basketball team to two national championships. As center for the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA, Tina was voted MVP of the WNBA for 2012. Since graduation, Tina focused her philanthropic energy and resources toward the building of schools in underserved areas of Africa. Working with Stamford-based BuildOn, she helped fund a school in Ganali. It is Tina’s goal to work with Build-On to build a school each year.
Olessa Stepanova is the morning traffic reporter for Eyewitness News this Morning. She is also the better buddy, reporting for Better Connecticut.
Olessa began her broadcasting career reporting traffic for News12 Long Island, where she flew above Long Island covering traffic inside Chopper12. She also worked for NY1, reporting traffic for the Tri-State Area. Olessa holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Long Island University, C.W.Post, where she graduated as a member of Phi Theta Kappa.
Originally from Russia, Olessa moved to Queens, New York in 1992. She speaks fluent Russian and loves to spend her spare time with friends and family.
JANMARIE WESTON -- Mrs. Connecticut International 2013
JanMarie Weston is a teacher at Windham Technical High School where she teaches English, Social Studies, and Computer Applications for 27 years. JanMarie will be competing for the title of Mrs. International in Chicago, IL in July.
In addition to her work for the Channel 3 Kids Camp, Jan volunteers for the American Heart Association Go Red for Women movement and literacy programs in the state.
